Frequently Asked Questions

Once you order your test, your kit will be sent directly to your home. Inside the kit you’ll find everything you need to complete the test, along with clear instructions on how to collect your sample and return it to the laboratory.

After the lab receives your sample, results are typically ready within 2-10 working days depending on the test.

Once results are in, we will review them and arrange your practitioner call to go through everything with you.

The practitioner call is a one-to-one consultation with one of our health practitioners where we explain your results in detail.

During this call we will:

  • Explain what your results mean
  • Highlight anything that may be out of optimal range
  • Connect the results to any symptoms you’re experiencing
  • Discuss possible root causes

The goal of the call is to help you understand what is happening in your body and what steps can help improve it.

No, it isn’t a medical diagnosis or GP appointment.

Our practitioners specialise in functional health, nutrition and hormone health, meaning we focus on identifying underlying imbalances and supporting the body through targeted lifestyle, nutrition and supplementation strategies.

If your test requires a venous blood draw, we can arrange for a qualified nurse or phlebotomist to come directly to your home.

The nurse will:

  • Take your blood sample safely
  • Label the sample correctly
  • Prepare it for the lab
  • Ensure everything is sent off properly

The appointment usually takes 10–15 minutes and makes the process very convenient as you don’t need to travel to a clinic.

Most blood tests take 5–10 working days once the laboratory receives your sample.

Some specialist hormone or gut tests may take slightly longer due to the detailed analysis involved.

Many standard healthcare ranges are designed to detect disease, not optimal health.

Our practitioners look at functional and optimal ranges, which helps us understand why symptoms like fatigue, hormone issues, weight resistance or gut problems may still be happening even when results appear “normal”.

Yes. Many of our clients come to us after being told their tests were normal but they still feel unwell.

Our testing panels often include more markers and deeper analysis, which can reveal imbalances that standard tests may not investigate.

Some blood tests require fasting, while others do not.

If fasting is required, this will be clearly stated in your test instructions. Typically this means no food for 8–12 hours before the sample, but water is allowed.

In most cases you should avoid supplements the morning of your test unless otherwise instructed.

This helps ensure the results reflect your body’s baseline levels rather than the immediate effect of supplements.

Yes, but it’s important to let us know.

Some medications and hormonal contraception can influence certain markers, and your practitioner will take this into account when interpreting your results.

After your consultation you will receive:

  • Personalised recommendations
  • Nutrition guidance
  • Lifestyle support
  • Supplement suggestions if appropriate

If needed, we may also suggest follow-up testing or further support to help track improvements over time.

Our tests are designed to assess health markers and functional imbalances, but they are not intended to diagnose medical conditions.

If anything clinically concerning appears in your results, we may recommend discussing this further with your GP.
